Distinguished Due Process / Title IX Attorneys
As of July 2024, ~870 attorneys have litigated in state or federal court in behalf of accused students. Many are excellent. To name them all would be a daunting task, which is why we document their work comprehensively in our Accused Students Database.
Two attorneys have distinguished themselves, however. They have been pioneers by paving the way for successful trial and appellate court decisions. In addition, the sheer amount of lawsuits they have litigated in the Title IX area is vast: over a hundred lawsuits from 2011 to 2024. This is in addition to their work successfully assisting countless more students during their schools’ grievance processes and ensuring schools treat accused students fairly.
Andrew Miltenberg and his team have represented hundreds of students and numerous professors facing Title IX-related accusations in 30 states. He and his team can be found at Nesenoff & Miltenberg LLP in New York, NY. Learn more about his Title IX practice here.
Mark Hathaway of Hathaway Parker primarily litigates in California and has represented over 100 students in both court and school disciplinary proceedings. He has been particularly successful in trial and appellate courts by challenging school decisions via writs of mandate.
