This suit has been included in our Title IX Lawsuits Database as the first suit against this school. As reported by NBC, it involves former provost Dr. Jeffery Stewart. It is rare for an administrator with this high a ranking to bring a Title IX claim after being the respondent in a school’s internal Title IX investigation.

There is more than one lawsuit and accuser at play here. One of the accusers recently received a $300k settlement from FSW under the questionable condition that she forgo seeking re-employment with the school.

Dr. Stewart’s complaint, filed in Florida Middle District Court, is a short nine pages. While he was accused of non-consensual sexual contact and harassment, he alleges that he was the victim of the same by a Judith Pultro, who then harassed him by filing false claims that made their way into the public domain.

Dr. Stewart claims in his suit that the school presumed his guilt prior to conducting a formal investigation, and told him to either resign or face termination. He chose the former, and now claims the ordeal – having made its way into the public domain – inhibits his ability to find employment.
