I would like to draw your attention to two things coming out of A Voice for Men, both of which are well worth looking into.

The first is a recent video episode (viewable above) of Manstream Media Monthly which focuses on the “failure to launch”: the tendency among young men to underachieve both educationally and in the job market. Manstream Media, as you may know, is an AVFM platform that hosts discussions among men’s issues luminary Dr. Warren Farrell (author of the groundbreaking book The Myth of Male Power), AVFM founder Paul Elam, and psychotherapist Tom Golden. There is an excellent synergy among them that has a cumulatively positive effect to their broadcast.

The second is a provocative article at A Voice for Men by Tom Golden on research that shows ADHD drugs can cause permanent brain damage when given to lab animals, and may have dangerous implications for the human brain as well.

Goden cites an argument by Leonard Sax, M.D., on the dangers of ADHD drugs and the lasting damage it may have on the brain, and in particular the nucleus accumbens. Sax’s point is backed up with an impressive array of research – research that is all the more disconcerting considering the fact that it has been conducted independently over and over again, and that we never hear about it from the mainstream media.

On a side note, I’d like to apologize for the increased delay between posts at AVFMS this month. As they say, life happens. And for me in this month, it’s been “happening” a lot. I should resume more regular posting in the near future.
