On Tuesday, June 27th, we will be rolling out a large “user experience” upgrade across all our databases. Before we do, we need to provide notice below of upcoming changes that will temporarily affect users’ access to their database accounts. We will end with a short description of the upgrade.

Upcoming Maintenance

On Monday, June 26th, our website and databases will be unavailable starting at 8:00 PM CT as we perform upgrades to core systems. We estimate that they will be restored on Tuesday, June 27th, around 12:00 AM CT. During that time, we will still be able to offer any assistance regarding account management matters via email if needed. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] if you need help.

Subscribers Will Need to Reset Passwords

Part of this upgrade involves replacing our login and account management systems entirely. Because of this, users who have active access to subscription-based databases (specifically, the Title IX Lawsuits DatabaseOCR Resolutions Database, and Attorneys Directory) by 8:00 PM CT on June 26th will need to reset their passwords after website and database access are restored on June 27th. We will be available for anyone who needs assistance.

All Other Users Will Need to Re-Register

Users who do not have active access to subscription-based databases by June 26th at 8:00 PM CT will need to re-register their accounts to interact with our databases. They will also find the registration process much easier than previously.

Preview: User Experience Plus (“UX+”) Upgrade

The main goal of the upcoming upgrade is to improve the user experience across our website and all our systems. Based in substantial part on user feedback, it is a combination of over thirty improvements that coalesce around four key areas:

  1. Account management upgrades. Users will have more control, options, transparency, ease of access, and communication regarding their accounts.
  2. Navigation, accessibility, and performance upgrades. These improvements have been made to the website generally. User registration, database signup, and login processes will also be much easier.
  3. Individual database improvements. A broader range of data, more tools to search for them, improvements in data accuracy, and more intuitive user interface changes will be implemented.
  4. Security upgrades. We have made substantial investments that protect our systems and user data from malware, hackers, unauthorized use, and data loss.  These protections are already in place.

We look forward to providing a full list of specific changes and new features when the upgrade is released on June 27th.
